What is the suggested method/device for protecting RPTV's from surges, lightning strikes, etc.? I have a Panamax for all the componentry, but that will be in another room and thus and can't plug the TV into it. Is a regular surge protector sufficient, or should one opt for something with a guarantee (like Panamax, Monster, etc.)? I really only need to plug in the TV and a Subwoofer, so two or three outlets would be fine.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Scott:

Run a search using sure protection in the tweaks forum. You will find a ton of info. I think Bill Kane has a FAQ on this subject. IMHO, stay away from MOV based protection. I use Brickwall for my surge protection.
