Is there a reason for this fad of making humongous toothbrush handles. Those that have no chance in hell of fitting in your "standard" toothbrush holders? Have American kids gotten so pudgy and fat hands that they can't grip your basic toothbrush handle. Jeez Louis! It's a toothbrush for god's sake, not some holy religious exorcism device. Just make one handle and stick to it, will ya!?!??!??!?!

    Ah, it's the new Jay.

Ever since he bought his first house (a few months ago) all he talks about is home-related stuff: painting basement floors, financing, toilets, and now toothbrush handles!

Is your bicycle leaning sadly in the corner, wondering when it will get out to play? Is your DVD player gathering dust?

    Welcome to homeownership, Jay!

BTW, that toothbrush thing drives me crazy, too. I think there is a niche market out there for retro, cheap, straight-handled toothbrushes!

LOL - When I was looking for bathroom fixtures last year, my dad (who was helping me out) brought along a thick toothbrush to test out all of the holders. [IMG] I'd tell ya to take a belt sander to it, but if the toothbrush starts spewing pea soup or blood, you didn't hear anything from me!

How about this one, same Oral-B:

I bought that one only cause I had a coupon for it, otherwise I would simply buy a skinny handle toothbrush!

Not just Oral B, but the other major players have these fat handles brushes that dont fit your usual toothbrush holder.

Time to take out my dremel tool!

    Joys of toothbrush ownership!

Didn't you know it's not the size of the toothbrush but the motion with which you use it.... oh nevermind... [IMG]

Brushing will never be the same *sigh*

I went out and bought a 99cent CareOne plain old toothbrush, which is still cheaper than the $3 monstrosities out there which is even cheaper than the $3 toothbrush even with the $1 coupon that I used. And this new one fits my holder thing.

I should pull an Abe Simpson and write the CEO of Oral-B!

ohh, so now I'm reworking my bathroom and I replace the old toothbrush holder with a new fandangled inexpensive one ( but new)... So now that I have a new toothbrush holder, the normal sized toothbrushs that I have now fall right through if not placed carefully.. *sigh*... Just can't win..

In other news, this is a very interesting Toothbrush holder, I think I should order one:

Am I the ONLY one here who likes these larger handled toothbrushes? That Oral-B is the one I use, it seems to fit my hands better, kinda like those pens with a larger finger grip to reduce strain. I never use a holder, I just toss it in the drawer when i'm done, plus about half the time I use my Soni-Care. The handle on that thing has got to be about ten times the thickness so it never bothers me.

...2 Toothbrushes? Is that right? or should it be 2 Teethbrush? [IMG]

There is now a Sonicare in both of my bathrooms. So, they're usually in the charger.
As far as toothbrushes I use an appropriate size pottery jar for those.
It'll hold a tube of toothpaste also.

So you use a jug to hold your toothbrushes? Seems to fit with Jay's link...
