Has anyone seen a early review of any of teh superbit releases? I am suspicious that these are only going to be the addition of a DTS soundtrack and nothing more (i.e. better picture).

Considering I just got my screener of A Knight's Tale today, a title that hits stores two weeks ahead od the Superbits discs, I wouldn't expect many - if any - reviews yet. With luck, some may appear next week, but I'm not holding my breath...

The links points to a disscussion about superbit DVDs. The info is very good but is there any official and more detailed review? Also is superbit going to be available for region 2?
    Thanks

Just noticed this while looking for the Superbit version of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon at the DVD Empire website.
    Audio:
    ENGLISH: Dolby Digital 5.1
    ENGLISH: DTS 5.1
    Subtitles:
    [None]
Its the English dub. I'll pass on this one.

. When asked about full bitrate DTS, they explained that would have made the bitrate for the video content lower than the current DVDs. The original Fifth and Airforce one used 384 DD.

"I just wonder why they did not just as well make it a two disc set, and then they would have all the bandwidth they need."
Since there are no extras to begin with, how would this make a difference? Are you suggesting that they put the video on disc 1 and the audio on disc 2?

I read on www.play.com (online store for UK based importing) that Air Force One : Superbit will have director's commentary. Truth or falsehood? I have the R2 reissue, and loved the commentary, but want DTS sound badly. Can I safely sell my copy of AF1 R2?

I'm suddenly interested in reading some reviews since The Patriot Superbit was announced. I'll buy it in advance of reviews, but it will make me smile to read about dramatic improvements in picture.
One thing I want to be clear on, though I think I know the answer. The Superbits include a DD track, right? I don't yet have a DTS system, so I want to make sure these discs will work for me.

I'm fine with nothing but a good pic and most of all DTS,DTS,DTS. As you might guess I'm a big fan of DTS.
I NEVER buy dvd movies for " extra's" anywhay.
