Sunfire True Sub....owners? (1 Viewer)

I am shopping a HT system now, and I am interested in the Sunfire Signature subwoofer. Apparently it's received some very positive reviews, and it's size is a major plus for me (which means my wife). I've not actually heard the Sunfire and wanted to know how any owners feel. The other sub I like I have actually heard, and it's the Velodyne SPL1200. However, being a very satisfied owner of previous generations of Carver equipment, I do have some leaning in the direction of the Sunfire.

I've got a new TrueSub EQ and am very happy with the performance for both movies and music. The EQ feature works extremely well and is very easy to use. Fit and finish are second to none.

Is that different from the Signature EQ, and if so, how? Do you think the higher end ones are worth the difference in cost?

Frequency response: 16 Hz to 100 Hz (+0, -3 dB)
Greater than 116 dB peak SPL with room gain

18hz is plenty low enough for my needs.
