Well, at least it will be for a fiew friends of mine. On sunday night, I am watching FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING at the store where I work, and I have invited about 10 friends. I work at a high end B & M store, and we are going to watch it on "The Big Rig."
All of them have been to the store where I work, and have seen the usual demos, but for a few, it will be their first high end home theater experience.
134" screen, Runco DLP Projector, big ass Krell amps. I demo this system every day, but only watch the elite best of the best movies on it. My system at home bares the brunt of my movie watching.
I have held off watching this DVD, mainly because this is exactly the way I wanted to watch it, on the killer equipment with my buds. I can barely contain my excitement!
As everyone arrives around 8pm, the soundtrack will be playing, and once every ones is seated, lights go down film starts....

Tell us what happens. Make sure you watch for their reaction, they tend to be priceless.

Indeed - can't wait to hear how it went.

You probably needed seatbelts with the bass this movie puts out!

Well, it came and went. Holy cow. It was priceless. I love this movie, and from now on, watching it on anything short of this system would seem criminal.[IMG]
I only looked around a couple of times to gauge reactions, and everytime I did, everyone's jaws were in their laps. During the scene with the Balrog, I dont think anyone was breathing. It was a fantastic evening, and everyone is eagerly awaiting doing it again. I love my job!
