i am looking to get a new reciever for a second room in the house will be used with paraidigm ref 80 studio cc studio adp. pioneer dv 37. any thoughts?

Scot, one suggestion, and there will be others, is the Sony STR-DA3ES. The current ES receivers have received good reviews here overall, and in my limited experience with them in stores, they are quite good. The 'DA3ES retails for $800, but you should be able to get it for significantly less through Oade Bros. Scot, I haven't used the Marantz SR-5200; I've only seen it at a local store. I am not impressed by the build quality of the current Marantz mid-priced receivers. That doesn't mean they are bad performers, however.
