Suggestions on AVRs with good pre-outs (1 Viewer)

Hello to all AV enthusiasts!

Just wondering if members who use ther AVRs as pre-pro can share their experience with me. Which AVRs have good pre-outs for all channels? I really don't have any idea what a good pre-put should be except that I've auditioned some AVRs that did not sound too good in my HT setup (e.g. JVC and Pioneer 914). I currently use the H/K AVR 5 as a pre-pro. I've been thinking about upgrading the AVR but will like to have a pre-out on any future AVR. May be the following list of AVRs that I ahve in mind will help in the discussion:

1. Pioneer 1014TX
2. Marantz AVRs
3. Harman Kardon - already own this so I'll use this as the reference

My gear just in case this information is helpful in the discussion:

H/K AVR 5 - used as pre-pro to H/K amplifiers
H/K PA2000 - Front L/R speakers
H/K PA5800 - center and surround L/R speakers

HK AVR-235. This would mate well with your amps. I have had the AVR 5 as well-no comparison.
