Let me get my system specs out of the way first.

    P4 2.4
    Windows XP Pro
    ASUS P4P P4PE/R/L/SATA Motherboard
    512MB PC 2700 DDR Ram
Western Digital 80GB 7200RPM Hard Drive
    Sony DRU500A DVD -R/RW +R/RW Burner
    Audigy 2 Platinum Sound Card
    Dual monitors using nVidia's nView

    What I want to accomplish:
Watching TV on my computer (secondary monitor)
PVR with the intention of tranfering to DVD
Capturing Laserdiscs with the intention of tranferring to DVD
Capturing from camcorder with the intention of tranferring to DVD (This is very low on my list of priorities)
I would also like the card(s) to be stereo.
I should probably add that HDTV is not an issue.

Basically looking for suggestions on what to buy. I was looking at the WinTV PVR 250 and it looked good but I was checking out the user forums and it seems like it can be a serious nightmare. I am hoping to keep the cost relatively low, I'd like to keep it under $150 and the cheaper the better.

I do have digital cable at my house, but I can plug the cable directly into a TV bypassing the cable box and get all the normal (non pay) channels. I am assuming that this means that I can do the same with a TV tuner card, correct?

    Thanks in advance,
