Suggestions for free media player and burning (1 Viewer)

I just added an 80GB hard drive to my Gateway performance 500 PC. I have Windows 98SE. I am switching between musicmatch basic, Windows MP9, and real player. I have been using EAC with LAME for MP3 burning(takes a long time). My only gripe about EAC is that the CDDB lookup almost never works which could be due to my router for dsl. What do you guys prefer? My main gripe for Win MP and Real 1 is the playlist does not recognize alot of my MP3 burned media so it is hard to bring up.

EAC is slow. CDex is almost as good at ripping and much faster (it is also free and very well regarded). You should look into your router settings as CDDB ought to work with a router. CDex also uses CDDB (which is really the best online music database).
