Hey guys. I'm looking for some specific advice.

In a standard living room, viewing distance 9-13 feet,semi-controlled lighting, I want to up-size my 55" Mits rear projector CRT.

I watch DVR'd cable, Blu Ray and DVD movies, some games, and quite a bit of sports, mostly NFL and NCAA football and Baseball, along with the Olympics.

I want to go 65" or bigger, and am leaning towards an 82" Mits DLP.

I plan to buy on Black Friday, and don't want to spend more than 2500, which should be ez if I'm patient.

Does my plan make sense, or should I be looking at other techs?

PS. Sound is not an issue, nor is 3D. (I think)

I love my 82" Mits. I purchased last year on Black Friday at Pauls TV for $1550 (delivered).

Well, Gregg, I'm really hoping to have a very similar chance.

By the way, how far away do you sit, and how do sports on cable/satellite look?
