Hi,

Could I get a suggested box size for a Stryke SAE1204 (very similar to Dayton DVC 12") in a sealed alignment?

This sub will be used for music only in a mid size room, but the room has like 20 foot ceilings!

It will be blended with Dennis Murphy's MBOW1 design, basically very similar to an AV1, but with a Hipiqhuon OW1 tweeter instead of the Gr-research tweet. . .

What's the "optimum" Q for a sealed box again?

Thanks-

Wes

A Qtc of .707 is "maximally flat", giving the lowest F3 possible for a driver without a transient-degrading hump in response at Fc. Looks like a Vb of about 32L for this driver.
"Optimum", however, can be pretty subjective...some find much lower Qtc's (and bigger boxes) better for music. I wouldn't argue. :)
