I've received several different Suggested Retail prices on these speakers.....$1,150, $1,600, $1,400, $1,700.

This is confusing....what has been your experience when looking at suggested U.S. prices for these speakers?

    Thanks,
    Billy Gun

What source did you use to get that information?

    Billy Gun,

B&W has franchise like manufactures reps. They are allowed a certain geographic area to sell. If they sell outside their designated area they can loose their license to sell B&W.

This puts a buyer at a disadvantage. Each B&W authorized seller can put a different price on what they are selling. Believe me when I say that they have some profit built into those prices. Try to negotiate.

    Good Luck!

    Christopher,
If they wish to stay in business they SHOULD have profit built into their prices, correct? [IMG]

    Bill,
Of course they should. My point was directed at Billy Gun's confusion over inconsistent MSRP and that some seller's use different pricing structures. [IMG]
I myself will be purchasing the following B&W products this month...
    - Front R/L: DM601 S2
    - Rear R/L: CDS6
    - Center: LCR60 S3
    Can't wait! [IMG]

Jason_me.....the price listed on your link did not say "Suggested retail" or "Mfg sugg. ret."....just the price was listed. Which leades me to believe it is "Their price discounted" ?? maybe?

ChristopherT...your "Stereo 411" link did not work.
Also, the "Filtronique" link you posted only gives the price of the "Series 2" DM 604's.

    Please advise.....
    Thanks.

They list for $1400, but some dealers (you might need to call around or drive a bit) will take 20%-10% off. B&W does not allow dealers to sell below list, but you will find that many do. Not to take you off the subject, but I myself was ready to purchase the 604 s3's a couple of months ago and wound up getting a pair of cdm 1nt's for far less (~$600). You WILL need a decent sub, but I think you might find the 1nt's to have a far wider soundstage.
