Here is a couple of pics of one of 2 identical passive sealed 12" Titanic subs I have for sale. It would be relatively easy to add a plate amp if you wanted to make them powered. Or I could do it for you! Adire has that new 250 watt plate amp for $179 and a 700 watt monster coming soon!
They sound absolutely phenomenal for music and are pretty damn impressive for HT as well. There response is flat to just before F3 of 27hz. With typical room gain such as mine they are flat down to 20hz no B.S.! Try even finding a commercial sub for less than $1000 that'll do that!
They were constructed with 2 layers of 3/4" MDF laminated together on all sides. There is substantial internal bracing. There is also roughly 2 pounds of "Acousta-Stuff" dampening material inside, those of you familiar with speaker building know this isn't cheap stuff. There are 4 rubber feet along with 4 heavy duty spikes for each sub.
Prices are $250 each or $500 for the pair. Please email for more pics or with questions.
Just to let you know there are more than $300 in materials in each so you couldn't even build them for what I am asking, especially if you don't have the tools needed.
