Brett, I use a Behringer ultra-curve pro on my mains also. I had a pair but sold one to a friend, now I need to get another for the surrounds. I know many feel that using an EQ is a no-no, but speakers aren't perfect, and the way they interact with each different room, its furnishings and finish materials is staggering. I found that good, flexible EQs really help. Besides, EQs are used in the studio process and in most pro playback venues.

Bill,
The only way that I could see one getting away with no
active eq'ing would be to build an acousticly ideal listening
room and then filling it with the best gear money can buy.
I don't have the money for the gear, and no room in my
house is acousticaly perfect (you wouldn't live in that
room and I live in my living room).
I want flat response.. I am not getting it without equalization..
I will with equalization...
It's that simple :)

I think I am going to go with the 25-31 pci...just not sure if I should get it tuned to 22 or leave it at 25.
