I bought a Monster 3500 MKII Powercenter. Have not hooked up yet but had a question regarding subwoofer. My sub (Mirage S12) is to the back of the room with a 25' subwoofer cable. Should I run a long powercord extension to the Powercenter or should I just plug it into another surge protector at the back of the room ?

    Thanks

I just plugged mine in to another Monster surge suppressor that I had lying around.

Read your warranty very carefully for the Monster and I'd guess you will find that running an extension cord to or from it voids that warranty. Use a second suppressor. Panamax offers a little 2 outlet one called the MaxSub2 that is intended for something like this, for around $30.

Thanks for the heads up, John. I guess I will use my current surge suppressor for the sub temporarily and buy something like the Max 2 Sub.

    Thanks
