subwoofer placement?

    where in the room is the best place to place your subwoofer? ive heard in the corner, in between the speakers and differents sorts. also, is it better to connect your subwoofer throught line level out or speaker level out? whats the difference? thanks for any input

    place the sub in the listening position , crawl around on your hands and knees until you find the spot where it sounds the best , place your sub there, if the sub will be very far from the receiver use the speaker level inputs , either in- put will work it really doesn't matter which one you use.

    Previous post usually yields the best location, although the sub may also end up somewhere where you really don't want it to be. Failing this, a generally good location is up front in a corner.

    I have always heard that:

    1) putting your sub in a corner gives the highest output.

    2) putting your sub 1/3 or 2/5 of the distance down the longest wall gives you the flattest frequency response.
