Subwoofer placement question

    I don't mean for this to be a dumb question but I have always had my sub in a corner with the ports facing the wall about one foot away. Does it really make any difference in what direction the ports are facing? I have not tried it with the ports facing out into the room. Thanks for any input.

    You will have to experiment to get the best positioning. The corner placement will re-enforce the bass which could lead to some boominess. I have my sub placed in the middle of my speakers slightly ahead of them which gives the best integration with my mains and without the boominess.
