subwoofer phase (1 Viewer)

hi,my name is moises i just wonder how works phase 0 to 180 in a subwoofer set up i dont understand my gear works fine but alike to know more about i got set up this to 180 but no idea what is the purposes of this .

The switch is to align the phase with your "other speakers" doing the same frequencies...(when in close proximity). If your sub is in the front of the room and facing the same direction as the fronts...set to 0. If your sub is in the back of the room...face to face with the fronts...set to 180. None of that matters if the speakers don't have any common frequencies. (meaning if you have a "single point" AVR...and your fronts are set small...phase makes no difference)
