I have noticed that there is a very low frequency hum from my sub (powered). Could this be the 60cycle hum? I haven't got a clue,it doesn't appear to be there when i play music cd's,just there when I play a dvd. Any help, please? Thanks,FG.

Hi FrankieG. You might punch up hummm-humm-hum in the search function. It could be many things. This will give you more info than you can digest. GOOD LUCK. My sub hummms when I have the receiver turned on. When I turn my sub up over 1/2 on the back of the sub it will start. I do not need to turn it up that far, but still I know it is there if I were to.
