Subwoofer for sale (1 Viewer)

I've got the bug again to build a new subwoofer so I've decided to sell the EzSub14 that I built a few months ago. There are several threads documenting the building of this sub including this one and this one if you care to read up on the details and performance plots etc.

Basically though this sub consists of a Shiva driver in a 1 cubic foot sealed box with a 150 watt plate amp providing the power. The plate amp has all the usual crossover adjustments and inputs found on typical plate amps. The finish is Red Mahogany stained oak veneer.

I'm asking $375cdn or $275US plus shipping

I'm quite surprised this hasn't gone as well. Especially since there's pretty much no sub at the price your asking that can meet the performance of this sub.

Whoever's looking for an inexpensive subwoofer with great performance should pick this up.

Well almost anything I think this might be sold but I'm waiting to hear back from the person. Anyway UPS's rate calculator quotes about $35 to chicago.

I was really only selling this to help pay for a projector but I think I'll be able to manage regardless in which case I'll either consider a trade for a power amp or I'll just keep it.

Sorry no power amps here... I'm just looking for a cheap driver to make a cheap sonotube out of. Just something better (plays deeper) than my polk sub. I just don't want to spend $300 doing it...

Your best bet would be to try and find one of the old SVS drivers that were floating around cheap.

Yeah I've been on the look out for a while. The other day on audiogon it looked like someone sold an old SVS ultra driver for $55.

Of course this 40+ inch tube hasn't been cleared by my better half. She'll probably shoot the idea down! I can still dream the dream though!
