Here's my audio setup:

HK AVR 125
JBL N38 Fronts
JBL N-Center II Center
JBL N-24 Rears

I've narrowed it down to 2 choices,

JBL PB10
Velodyne CHT-8

I've got all JBL speakers so my initial choice was to go with the JBL but for about the same price I can get the Velodyne. I know that Velodyne makes great subs and are known for them.

What would you guys suggest I go with?

I use this setup for 80% movies, 20% music.

Talk to Brian at Link Removed he can build you one that will out perform them both and at a great price too. I have a 95L Shiva sub he built for me and it is awesome. He can probably make it match your JBLs. He offers a wide variety of finishes.

My bedroom is aproximately 12 x 15, give or take.

I'd like a nice tight bass which I can feel. I don't need to wake the neighbours though. Just something nice for mostly movies and some music.

Having a sub custom made is not really in the equation for me right now. I can get both of these relatively cheap so I've narrowed it down to these two. Also I live in Canada so shipping and customs would be a pain.

Well I went with the Velodyne CHT-8 and I think I made the right choice.

The bass is much tighter compared with the JBL.

Anyone else have this sub and how is it performing for you?
