It is almost time for me to make a decision on what subwoofer to buy and I've got it down to three choices.
    1. SVS Ultra ($1K)
    2. Stryke HE15 plus two 18PRs in the 24" box($800)
    3. Mass 2012DVC in a 16-18" diameter by

Those are some very hard choices to make! [IMG]
Since you already have the amp, I would still go the DIY route.
I am not knocking the SVS sub, it's just the sense of accomplishment is very admiring from a personal standpoint, IMHO.

Which would I buy? The Stryke, of course [IMG]. If I had the cash I would be on it in an instant.

according to tn data list the stryke is on par with a twin 20-39cs package when using a strit 10% thd limit. TV said that a single svs ultra will equal the twin 20-39 package in the < 32hz range but will be 4-6 db less in the > range 32hz.
this may be a bit off but here are my calculations. the svs ultra is on par with the stryke 15 in the 32hz range.

So have you decided, John? Will it definitely be the SVS?
