It is illegal to copy and/or distribute copyrighted material without the express written consent of the copyright holder, fair use (a very, very narrow definition) being excepted for backups or time shifting. Period.

Sorry, not to start an argument, but you'll get no sympathy from me. I work in a field that deals with intellectual property (software engineering) and my father was a commercial artist who had his copyrighted works copied illegally and used in advertising many times.

Believe it or not....

The Subtitle tracks are copyrighted....

This is one of the reasons that open captioning in movie theatres has had issues .

All captioning for films need to be approved by the studio and the credited writer before releasing to the public.
