Hi: I have some short digital co-ax cables and also some spare RCA stereo interconnects not being used, so now I need one short cable to go from my sub controller to my BFD, so can I use the digital co-ax or one RCA interconnect here insread of buying a much longer subwoofer cable? Thanks,Huck

Go for it. Audio cables don't need to be a specific make. Charachteristics may alter the sound somewhat, but not in your application. Not likely, anyway.

I've used 25 foot Composite vid cables, short Coax digital cables, both of which are supposed to be 75 ohms, also used standard audio stuff. All worked great.

analog audio doesn't require any specific impedances. Subwoofer interconnects is about the least demanding application anywhere in your system, just about anything will MORE than suffice.
