Is it harmful to leave my sub on all the time, without it in standby? Cuz when I have the option for it to go into standby, sometimes it just shuts off in the middle of songs...and it really sucks. So if I leave it on it stays on, but will that hurt it when I am not using my HT at all?

    Thanx.

It will not hurt your Sub at all. Just a little extra use of electricity. [IMG]

Try turning the sub amp volume knob down and make a compensatory increase on the receiver's sub trim. Should eliminate the problem.

Yes, that's exactly what he means. Just make sure to lower the volume on the amp to compensate for the increase in LFE level.

What's happening is your sub is going into sleep mode because it doesn't think there's a signal coming from your receiver. Increasing the LFE level may remedy this.

Ok, but if this doesn't work, does it hurt my sub or amp to leave it on all the time...???

No, it won't hurt your sub or amp. Just might cost you a few more dollars a month in electricity.

I've had my M&K MX700 sub turned on permanently (all the time) for the last 3 years with no problems.

So I say just leave it turned on, with the auto-on circuitry turned off.
