Do I really need to hook my front towers through the sub? I want to put the sub on the oppisite side of the room and wonder if I really need to run all that cable?

You do if you don't have a "sub out" connection of the back of your receiver. If you do have a sub out, it's just one 75-ohm rca cable.

That's what I thought then I had someone say to hook up both so the sub handles the crossover? Then someone said that just increases the distortion? I'm new to this and don't want to waste money on good cable if I don't need to.

    Thanks for the help.
