I am constructing a ebs alignment av12mkII sub which calls for a 24.5" long 4"vent. I screwed up on my calculations and the inside vent opening will be 3 inches from the front of the cabinet. Will this make much of a difference? The vent does have a 3/4" flare. Thanks, rich

It would be better if there were atleast 4" (diameter of the port) between the opening and the baffle.

With your 3" clearance there could be chuffing at high output levels.
