Hello! I am in the market for a subwoofer for my HT system. What do you think is the best sub for $300 or less? I was thinking SVS PB10 first, but it would be close to $500 out the door. My setup is given below.

    Room size - 16*20*9
    Speakers - Energy C7/C-C1/C-R1
Receiver - Pioneer 509S (to be upgraded, possibly to Pio 101X ,after the sub)
    Current sub - Yamaha YST-SW105 (8", 100W peak?)
    Music/Movies breakup - 30/70

Thanks in advance for your recommendations!

Dayton 10" with a BFD. Send me a check for the difference.
Total with shipping would be about $250. My check should be for $50.

    Thanks,
    David

I'd do like the others have suggested and get two Daytons or you might look on Ebay for subs that are in your area.

Most of the time someone will give you a better deal cause you can pay cash and there are no shipping hassels for either of you.

Not to mention you could get a better sub like a Velodyne ect. without paying some of the monsterous prices.

Thanks for all the responses. I checked ebay and found JBL E250P to be in my range. Refurb from harmandirect. What are your impressions on this model? Freq resp is 25Hz and up. The driver is 12".
