After a few VERY helpful threads and responses, I am down to my final issue with sub calibration.

I have quite a dip in response at 63Hz and 80Hz. After reading about 'house curves' on the HTF, I am satisfied with my response other than these two dips. When I eq those two points about 6db up, the curve seems fine.

But I keep reading that boosting dips is not a good thing to do. Why? It seems that a 6db boost at those frequencies should not clip the equalizer signal or overdrive the woofer.

Is there another problem that I am creating? It seems to sound awfully good with those frequencies accounted for.

BTW, I checked out phase issues, since it was suggested that maybe that was my problem, but phase is ok.

Info if needed- Sub is SVS 25-31PC+, and eq is ART355

    Thanks

I agree, boosting only 6db at those frequencies is fine, especially if it sounds good.
