Right now I have a 230L Sealed Adire Tempest. What kind of improvement will I see if i bump up to a PB2 PLUS?? And how would a PB2 Plus compare to a ported Adire tempest?? Thanks.

Both woofers (a single Tempest and a single dB-12) can move about the same amount of air (around 2.5 liters). So expect similar output from both for a given optimized alignment (sealed, vented).

The passive vented Tempest alignments on the Adire website would be comparable to the passive single CS-Plus cylinder subs (25-31CS+, 20-39CS+, 16-46 CS+) in terms of overall output.

Only a direct comparison of both would be able to discern other matters like frequency response, distortion limited output, and bandwidth linearity.

good, so i will definately notice a big jump in loudness if i jump to a pb2 plus. i've never even maxed out my single sealed tempest yet.

Most definitely. You are going from sealed to vented and doubling your drivers. Big difference.

For maximum power, leave all ports open and the tune switch on the amp set to 25 Hz.
