    Pun Intended!

Seriously, I am seeking opinions on the procurement of my initial powered subwoofer. My wife has finally admitted that while the clean look of in-ceiling speakers is a homemaker's dream, the lack of bass is heartless.

A journey to the neighborhood Good Guys proved realtively futile, as the booming and constant thuding seemed to eminate from the salesman's mis-adjusting the units to emphasize the added base.

I do have budget constraints, and I am seriously considering the new Polk PSW-404. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

    Thanks,

    Hank

So I'm guessing your price limit is roughly $400US?

Adire Rava or the Hsu VTF2 is you can stretch another $50.

If you think you could build your own box, let me know and I'll point you in the right direction to learn how to build your own sub. This will by far get you the best sub at the $400 price point.
