I'm new to the inside of my computer so give me a break if this is stupid.

I just successfully installed a 200gb HD but to hook it up I had to take the power plug from my spare CD burner. Is there any way to add power plugs (4pin) without getting a new power source?

Yes, you just need to buy a splitter adapter. This takes a single power plug and gives you two instead.
