I like the $200.00 bill story better, but this is still pretty funny.

    It's the same story.

    http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htfo...71#post2089771

I just deleted a sentence that started off with, "She must have been really desperate or just stupid.." but you know what I have no idea what the hell was going through her mind when she tried to pull that. If it was $50 worth of stuff I'd write it off as a joke, but she brought up over $1000 in merchandise to the counter, telling me she actually thought it would work. [IMG]

This lady has to be one of the dumbest people I've heard of:

    http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansas...on/8145870.htm

She was given 3 million dollar bills from her husband. How do you suppose that conversation went? "Here, honey. Go git yerself sumpin' nice at Wal-Mart"

    Thanks Dave [IMG]

What a moron! Did she just expect to get change? Gees. . .plus the fact that those bills aren't even made. It's like going into a gas station and expecting to pay with a $12 bill.

wow! and not only did she think they were real she tried to use gift cards worth $2.32 to pay for $1,675 of merchandise.

If she had another brain it would be lonely.

Maybe it wasn't the mullet, maybe it was the moustache.

I'm surprised the police were even called--the clerk should have just laughed and said "come on, get out of here."

She wasn't doing it as a joke, unless she planned to pull the same thing at other stores as well and had real forms of payment in her purse. She was seeing if she could get away with it, thus, she was trying to get away with theft. I can't think of a store that would carry that much change. Either way, you have to be a pure moron to try to pull that at a place of business. The employees have enough crap to deal with, they don't need to be handed a million dollar bill.

What was her next plan? Put on those Grouch Marx glasses (with the fake nose) and pretend she's "H. Lee Scott Jr." so she can get free merchandise? [IMG]

The clerk just might have laughed it off if a customer tried to pay for a pack of gum with a fake $3 bill but $1675 is no laughing matter. The customer probably had a big screen television and a riding lawnmower at the checkout lane and the cashier was thinking
"hell no, I'm gonna have to wheel this stuff back to the warehouse, somebody's gonna have to go to jail..... "
