I keep reading about people filling speakers with poly and plugging ports, etc. I have no clue what this means, how it is done correctly or what the benefit of doing so is. Is it similar to putting a blanket in a bass drum? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Go to the DIY section and search for Stuffing. [IMG] I added more stuffing to my sub to try and eliminate the boominess and it seemed to help. It apparently reduces standing waves inside the speaker. It also tricks the sub into acting larger.
