Study says gaming industry will top $31 billion in 2002!

    A recent study by the British research firm Informa Media Group, projects that global sales for the video gaming industry in 2002 will top $31 billion! [​IMG]
    They also project the worldwide sales of the three consoles by the end of 2002. Their research concludes:
    PS2 - 48.4 million
    GCN - 15.1 million
    Xbox - 6.9 million

    Hmmm....interesting....

    The gaming industry has become pretty big. Almost beat out the movie industry last year.

    I'm amazed at how well the little 'Cube is doing. While the two monsters Microsoft and Sony seem focused on each other, Nintendo looks to have quietly slipped the 'Cube into the number two slot. Good job Nintendo.

    Nintendo can run on reputation alone. Sony is now known for having all kinds of neat things that people want, whereas Nintendo is known for making people want things. MS is new, so they're running off their PC rep.
