Hilarious. A Mr. Travis Bickle squatted on the @moviesanywhere twitted handle as of October 6th cause these dummies were too dim to lock it up early.

Oh yeah, these guys are really inspiring confidence. Hint: I'm not Tony. They have a major leak with their login memory...

I keep reading this was supposed to launch the evening of the 11th, but it's now the morning of the 12th and nothing. That movies anywhere site only shows the looping logo, and that's when I request the desktop site, otherwise on mobile it's a blank screen. There's no app available in Google Play like their should be, and Disney Movies Anywhere has been "experiencing an outage" all night and is still down.

This is pretty much the industry's last chance to get a digital locker right. I hope they didn't launch this before it was ready.

Well Stephen, it’s 6:40am on launch day and the website is working great. Disney Movies Anywhere basically doesn’t exist anymore, so it’s not a huge surprise that it’s “experiencing an outage.”

And the Google Play app is right here...

Absolute shit sandwich so far. It disconnected all my accounts and will not allow me to reconnect iTunes and still won't allow me to connect Vudu.

Disconnect from the iTunes app first...

And Vudu has already said they won’t be connecting until this morning.

The Play app finally came up around 6:30am. I linked Google and Amazon just fine, but Vudu, where the majority of my movies are, was not ready, as others are finding out. Wish I could say I'm surprised. Vudu seems to be doing everything it possibly can to drive customers away lately.

You would think that if DMA were shutting down and moving everyone to the new service, they'd have a message to that effect. Both the app and the website say they are experiencing a temporary outage due to server issues. This is obviously a lie, but it's a very strange thing to lie about.

I can’t argue with you if you don’t like it, but as I sit here in my kitchen, the sun hasn’t even risen yet on MA’s first day, and the only problem I can see is that Vudu hasn’t linked yet, and they told us last night that would be the case...

Where did you get that specific time? On Vudu's forums, they were promising people "within the hour" in the wee hours of the morning.

I'm not saying I don't LIKE it, but it does seem odd that they launched without all their partners being 100% ready, especially considering it was more or less a surprise launch. Nobody knew it was coming today until yesterday. If any of their retail partners weren't ready, they should have waited.

Not that that isn’t COMPLETELY valid, but considering the number of huge companies involved in this, from the content providers to the retailers, to have everything up and running by 10am launch day is more than fine by me...
