Studios should add a laugh track to the movies (on DVD)!

I was thinking about this for a while and recently with the MASH TV release and the topic on the laugh track of MASH I thought to bring it up.
Personally I would very much like that the Studios as a bonus, add a supplemental laugh track for the comedies. It might make the experience of the movie even better. They can record the track in several theaters and use the best one.
Why nobody has tried this yet! Does my idea worth millions of dollars? Don’t you think that I made a mistake by mentioning it here first? [IMG]

I like that idea. The Freddy Got Fingered DVD had a feature like this (recorded from the Canadian world premiere). Let's just say it made the film somewhat watchable (as I selected the laugh track to watch the movie and not the DD 5.1), but the sad thing is that very few people were laughing. [IMG]

Will it be a Petal-to-the-Metal Diffent Strokes laugh track or the more laid back Family Ties style?

Anyone else think that the DTS 5.1 will sound richer and fuller compared to the DD 5.1 laugh track? [IMG]

It depends, Shane, on whether it's a half-rate or a full-rate DTS laugh track. [IMG]

P.S. This is a bad idea.

This is the greatest idea ever!!!

No need to even record new laugh tracks. Use the ones they used on "Night Court". It has this goofy guy laugh in every version--truly the best.

Please, no laugh track. I hate watching shows with overbearing laugh tracks. Take Spin City for example, man...they must use it after each and every person finishes a sentence. [IMG]
