I am interested in purchasing Stryke's av12 or av15, but I would like more info the inductance (le) parameters for the respective drivers (mh per voicecoil)?

    Thanks.

    Brett,

Maybe I'm missing it, but how does that help him? I don't see the Le listed for the voice coils there.

  4. Le is about 1.5mH (per coil) iirc.

Didn't they screw up (not that I mind) & build them with a single 4ohm coil?
If they do come in DVC, Wouldn't 3mh be a bit on the high side?

  6. There was a mix up and some of the AV's were shipped SVC. I think john will be shipping out some DVCs too

3mH is not too high considering that the HE15 and BPD 03's which "were" the high excursion kings had inductances around 12mH.

A lot of other subwoofer have Le's around 2-2.5, but they also have xmax's around 16mm

The 3mh on the AV is with the coils in series (2ohms per coil).

Wow, didn't think they went that high!!! I've been desensitized since I've been playing with 5" & 7" SS & Focal drivers. When I get a chance I'll do some sims on diff subs - pop in Le of 15mH (in place of 1.5mH) and see what happens (out comes that inductance hump in the FR) [IMG]
    Thanks Gomer
