This question is about a stryke audio product, not a DIY project. What is the IV series woofer?

And will/does stryke make any car audio subwoofers? Finding a sub with a similar displacement to price ratio is pretty much impossible in car audio.

He makes subs that are suitable for both home theater and car audio. The AV servies is an awsome sub for the car.

I know the AV can be used in cars, the only problem is that they require a huge box in comparison to ther 12s. I realize they can displace a lot more, but I don't need that kind of output in my car.

Huge box? The AV12 requires a 1^3ft box to get a Qts of .7. The AV15 requires a 2.5^3ft box for the same. If you run sims on some "real" car subs, you will see that their .5^3ft. recommendations are really giving you a Qts near 1.
