Stripping finish from real wood speakers? (1 Viewer)

Would it be possible to strip the black finish off of a Polk RT15i (the small bookshelf speaker)? If so, what could I use? I need a light color and I have only seen black ones show up for sale.

what about veneering over it? Try the DIY area for other suggestions and techniques.
