Did anyone get Stretch Panic today? I went looking for it today and not a single retailer in my area had it, but they all had tons of Resident Evil Code: Veronica X. I am hoping to hit the Best Buy and Software, ETC. tomorrow. If you have it is it any good? I bet it is though, being that Treasure made it!

I read that this game is neat and quirky, but gets old quick. I don't know though, haven't played it.

Treasure has been going downhill lately in my opinion. They used to be one of my favorite developers, if not my favorite, but as of late I have not been a huge fan of their titles.
Rakugaki Showtime, was very poor in my opinion.
Sin and Punishment I did not care for either.
Silpheed was mediocre at best.
But back to the topic at hand..
I have had Stretch Panic for a couple of weeks, but I have yet to invest much time into it. It definitely has the Treasure 'style' to it. The art design is completely out there, and the whole design of the game is beyond bizarre.
Unfortunately, the level design is not the best. The level objectives are beyond ambiguous, and most levels come off pretty sparse/bland, which makes things get old pretty quick. Also the controls are very non intuitive and border on frustrating.
I'm going to keep this title just to have it in my 'Treasure' collection, although I can almost guarantee it wont be one of my favorite Treasure titles.

Showtime is probably their worst title IMHO!
Sin and Punishment is awesome beyond believe, I think its the best title for the N64.
Silpheed was a good shooter that I think suffered from them trying to stick to the original too much.
Now you cannot deny that Treasure has created some of the best games out there: Radiant Silvergun, Gunstar Heroes, Gaurdian Heroes, Banghi-o.......and they look to be in the process of making a sequel to Radiant Silvergun currently called Ikaruga.
Nevertheless I cannot wait to play Stretch Panic, if I could just find a damn copy of the game.

No I definately will not deny that Treasure made some of the best games out there. Their megadrive and saturn titles were some of the best games ever.
Unfortunately their titles just dont seem to contain that magical quality that they once had.
