I just noticed on both my laptop and my home PC that when I am viewing a page on the internet, if I click on the right hand bar to scroll down the page it scrolls twice as far as it should.... ie, as if I clicked twice on the scroll bar. This started recently. My best guess is that a recent windows update has this as a bug.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

You guessed right. A recent patch broke the scrolling.

Thanks for that information. I thought my eyes or my mouse had gone nuts for the last few days.

I can't decide if this is a problem or an enhancement. I think it just takes a bit of getting used to.

It seems to affect IE6 only and happens when you install the most recent IE cumulative patch.

It's definitely a bug, because scrolling twice as much as it should is not an enhancement.

It doesn't scroll twice as much all the time. It seems to depend on how far down the scroll control you are.

I also notice sometimes the scoll bar will lock up or jump back to a previous place when I am click-dragging it down with the mouse while reading forums.

I noticed the same thing as well. It will be interesting to see how long it takes to get fixed. Surely there must be a lot of complaints.
