For some reason, some channels are stretched out on my television. For example, A&E appears as if it is widescreen and thus doesn't fit on my Toshiba 32" 4:3 television. It cuts off what looks like inches on either side, so if it is the Military channel, the channel watermark (or whatever you call that little station icon on the lower right side of the screen) only says Mili... instead of Military, if that makes any sense.

But the image looks stretched out, so I don't think it's some widescreen TV-only channel. Anyone know anything about this?

My Time Warner cable box (Scientific Atlantic 8000HD) has 2 zoom modes (Zoom and stretch). Check your remote or owner's manual, I'll bet you're stuck in one of these modes. If you didn't get a manual with your cable box, Google it.
