In a recent industry presentation, French high-end brand StormAudio unveiled the ISP Core 16 multi-channel processor ($12,000, available Q4 2021), as well as an AoIP AES67 (audio over IP) option for the ISP MK2 processor range. Furthermore, a completely redesigned cross-platform smartphone app was announced at the event, along with other feature updates available later this year and into next.
The new ISP Core 16 preamp/processor is based on the company’s ISP MK2 platform. The new France-manufactured 3U-chassis unit is more compact than the former processors, according to SA, and the product supports up to 16 channels with state-of-the-art audio codecs and video processing (Auro-3D, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro, IMAX Enhanced, HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision).
