StormAudio has announced it will introduce a number of product upgrades and feature enhancements this year, in addition to an extension of warranties to five years. The upgrades span hardware, software and firmware improvements for existing StormAudio home theater product platforms.
Over the summer, through partnership with Cypress Technologies, SA says it will launch a new HDMI 2.1/HDCP 2.3 compatible card for owners of the MK1 and MK2 products. Additionally, as part of the French company’s commitment to sustainability, it has announced that all MK2 products are now retroactively covered by five-year parts and labor warranties.

I have wanted to try out a Storm product for a while, but I have a hard time with their price point. I believe their ISP MK2 is $15,000. Similar to some of the other premium players like Steinway/Lyngdorf, it just seems out of touch with reality for most consumers. At least AudioControl remains in the realm of affordability.
