how many MB in a GIG?

1,000KB = 1 MB = 1,048,576
1,000MB = 1 GB = 1,073,741,824

Remember that this is arrived at by multiplying 2x2x2... So 1,000 is actually = 1,024. Just keep multiplying by 2 to get the real numbers.
