I am starting to kick around the idea of building a basement home theater and I wanted to know what the easiest and most inexpensive way to stop bass from traveling up through the ceiling into the rest of the house. I plan to double drywall on the ceiling, but wanted to know if there was anything else that isn't too expensive to use. Perhaps any of this Owens Corning sound control insulation between the ceiling joists? Or is in ineffective with bass control? Also, is it recommended to double drywall all four walls in a basement setup or just the ceiling?
    Thanks in advance
    Kevin

My apologies - I thought I was in the Building a Home Theater section of the forum. [IMG]
