What a great piece of work! Still finding myself pulling this one out and listening to it on a regular basis.

    My favourite tracks are:
    7 - A Knife in the Dark
8 - Flight to the Ford
    16 - Amon Hen
17 - Breaking of the Fellowship

I can easily conjure a mental picture of what is happening in the picture with these tracks. Flight to the Ford & Amon Hen conjure up powerful images of the Horse chase and the battle with the Orcs/Boromir's fate amazingly.

Truly an awesome soundtrack that nicely fulfills my love of brass!

God - I love this album!

    I can't enough of:
    2-The Shire
    13-The Bridge of Khazad-dum
    17-The Breaking of the Fellowship

It's the best soundtrack I've heard since The Empire Strikes Back. I still listen to it on a regular basis and it's one of the few orchestral CDs I play in the car. The best film music of the last twenty years.

I agree with you Rob. It's an amazing piece of work. Can't wait for:

    1) A 2 CD release - is there one planned?
    2) The soundtrack for TTT.
