    Ahhh! I've gone blind!
Patrick, you should put a "Rated for mature viewers" tag on the topic line. Kids may stumble into that picture. We must protect them from such atrocities. They shouldn't have to see the evil that men do.

It looks like a cartoon to me.

Why don't they just re-do the whole thing with CGI? While they're at it, they can add a nice rock soundtrack.

Ugghh...completely gross. Total loss of detail resulting in loss of depth, plus whoever picked that color palette must have been blind. Man, I'm tired of cartoons being used in a derogatory manner to describe fucking garbage like that. I have seen a lot of animated films and quite frankly they have more depth of field and artistry than that colorized abortion.

That's not a scene from the film - it's a publicity photograph. Either way, it looks awful...

Yeah, looks like one of those colorized posters made for black and white films during the 40s. I don't believe Turner ever worked on a colorized version of CK. They did do a version of "Casablanca" which was not too bad in the technical sense but awful in every other way. Orson can rest on this one.

Ted Turner was quoted a long time ago as saying he was going to colorize Citizen Kane "Just to piss people off", but later decided it wasn't worth the trouble.

The BBC showed a CK documentary once which had the scene of Kane trashing his wife's room in "color" - needless to say it looked horrible...

Apparently the colorisation was stopped when the original RKO contracts were examined. They specified a B/W film and this prevented the colorists from finishing the whole film.
