Weird; Jan de Bont, the director of Speed and Twister is one of the producers of this film. None of the usual names (writers, producers etc.) that you usually see for a Spielberg directed movie.

Well, John Williams is doing the score, Janusz Kaminski is the DP and Michael Kahn editing... isn't that the usual Spielberg crew? It's a Cruise/Wagner production also, so that explains some other names.

Looks cool, by the way, I'm a big Spielberg fan so I'll be there opening weekend!

Hey, good lookin' out. I JUST read that this trailer is going to run with Ocean's 11, but now I don't have to wait. Cool.

I think that Spielberg was a producer on "Twister" and now Debont is returning the favor.

Speed2, Twister, The Haunting....If I were Spielberg, that’s one favor I wouldn’t be calling in.

Yawn! Wouldn't it have been great if John Williams wasn't doing the score?

Aren't you all secretly glad Williams didn't do Lord of the Rings?

Would it then have been Bored of The Rings?

Actually this could be an interesting movie for Williams to score. I loved his A.I score, in some cues it went where he'd not gone before as parts of that movie did for Spielberg. Perhaps this will be the same kind of experience.

PS: For what it's worth, I am glad he didn't do Fellowship. In my opinion, Shore nailed it and will finally get the attention he's deserved for so many years.

For the first few minutes of the trailer, I thought they were making Brazil 2.

Looks interesting. It's speilberg and cruise, so it'll make money.

Regarding Janusz Kaminski (who I'm a big fan of)...I picked up a pile of cheap-as-dirt LDs from the kencranes.com "we're ditching LaserDiscs forever" sale, one of which was the Vanilla Ice movie, Cool As Ice. I bought it as an evil Christmas present for a friend (it was $2), but then I broke down and watched it to see how awful it really was.

So, guess who the DP on it was?

Yep, future Schindler's List lenser Janusz Kaminski.

    Poor guy.
